Here we are again - at a point in the adoption process where we have done all that we can to hurry along the process but we have to wait for government action. Our papers are all sent to Chicago and we are waiting for a fingerprint appointment. They said it could be 30 -45 days just to receive the appointment. We will then have to travel to Charlotte for the fingerprinting. There is no expediting this time because they have stopped accepting the letters for special needs adoptions.
