The Airport and the First Night...

The morning we left for the airport, we were early - that had not happened the entire 10 days we were in Beijing. So as we were waiting for Teresa, I gave Ella a dramamine. So I put the dramamine in her mouth and she refused to swallow it. It kept "growing" in her mouth. We held her nose, squeezed her cheeks... and I knew if she didn't get it down here, she would throw up on the van on the way to the airport because it was a 45 min. drive. Funny!!!!

There are 2 of us carrying our dirty laundry down. It was 2 very big bags and they were heavy. We saved our laundry because we knew here in Guangzhou it was much cheaper.

During our whole stay in Beijing Teresa and Ella became very close. I guess it was because she spoke her language, but I could tell that Ella would probably have a hard time leaving her. I think it went both ways. So it was sad when we left Teresa because it was like Ella was leaving a part of herself in Beiijing, her hometown.

Last night we went to eat at Lucy's. Lucy's is the restaurant especially loved by adoptive families. It is just down the road from the White Swan and has American food. It was wonderful and we walked around. No jacket, gloves, anything. We went to Starbucks and then let the kids run around and play outside. Wonderful!
