A note from Lorraine: Because Kevin and Bridget cannot view Blogspot in Beijing, I am going to send them all of the comments sometime tonight. So please continue to comment on the posts so they can have some interaction!!
It is a heat wave here in Beijing. It was around 32 degrees here and that's the warmest we've seen.
Just a note about different cultural things in China... All stores are open all the time. Any day and time. The dentist is even open. Crazy. Our friends, the Shueys, went to the dentist on Sunday and then off to church. Weird. huh?
We went to the silk market again and only made it about 11/2 hours. CRAZY. But, they loved Kevin. He got tugged on, face patted, hand patted, you name it and he got it today.. It was amusing. We came back to the hotel and Kevin went and got KFC. It was pretty good. We took naps and then went to some Chinese restaurant that our guide had made reservations for 6:00.
Then we walked down to Pedestrian street again. We went into some mall and there was a huge toy store. So we let the girls out of their strollers to play legos. They enjoyed this.
After they played, we went and just walked aournd. The girls started getting wild. They were both driving their stroller around and hitting kevin's feet. This was hilarious. Eveyone began staring and coming over to talk to us.. Doesn't take much to amuse the King family on their 8th day in China.
Have I mentioned how much we miss our two lovely daughters and family and friends right now? WE can't wait to give the girls great big hugs!!
